The World Better Prepare for When I'm a Billionaire

Can’t you just see me sitting here at my desk singing the “Billionaire” song by Travie McCoy? OK, I’m going to admit it, I do. I think it’s a good song. I sit here listening to Spotify quite a bit while I’m working. It helps to pass the time. I just get disappointed when I have to turn down the speakers when the phone rings.
I would really like to build an office outside of my house where I can do all of my work and then actually “go home” at the end of the day. Right now, I basically sit at my desk the whole day long – I know that can’t be healthy. The way my business has been exploding recently, it makes you think about how companies like HP, Apple, Dell, Google and others got their starts in garages. I started my business in a small bedroom (since I don’t have a garage).
I wonder how those pioneers felt as they built their respective empires. At what point did they say, “OK, it’s time to get a bigger garage”? I know I’m a small business and that it isn’t geared towards becoming a billion dollar company (I’d be OK with millions). But could it be? Could I become a website mogul?
The idea keeps twisting around in my head – how do I take my business to the next level? I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete. I’ve often thought about how neat it would be to have a huge team of web designers and programmers at my disposal along with a massive data center to host all of these websites. From experience, I already know that I’m the best boss in the world, so it would have to be an awesome place to work.
Ahhhh, the dreams of a small businessman. Will it ever happen? Probably not. But I can dream, right? I think I better go back to Spotify and do a little more pondering.
